Geoff R. (a married man) contacted us for help starting an affair with a young lady he met in a nearby business.  Geoff had been married for 10 years; however, the last four years were unhappy ones, due mainly to his wife’s explosive anger and her lack of sexual desire.  He never ‘cheated’ on his wife before, but sexually, he was at a breaking point.  He stated that pornography was forbidden in the house.  Also, his wife forbade him to masturbate when the children were home.

Geoff owned a car stereo installation store in a strip mall near his home.  Every afternoon he left work to get a coffee at a nearby Starbucks.  A nice looking young lady worked at wireless phone service next to Starbucks.  He slowly built up the courage to smile at her through the front window.  She always smiled back and, recently started waving to him.  He found himself thinking about her a lot and wondered if there could be something between them.  Geoff says:

“I know it sounds stupid, it was only a ‘hello’ wave.  But it really made my day... summer, actually!  It felt really nice to have someone notice me and make an effort to be friendly towards me.  I mean, I’m not a leper or anything, but after continually being turned down for sex by my wife, I was starting to think there was something seriously wrong with me.”

Geoff contacted us and explained that he would like to get to know ‘Ashley’ (from the wireless store) better, and see where the relationship developed from there. We devised a three step plan for Geoff:

2. Seal the Deal
3. Follow Through

He received two weekly conversations with his consultant who helped to ‘coach’ him through the process.  He was nervous at the beginning, however, talking things through with his consultant put his mind at ease.

It took several more weeks of coaching before he was confident enough to move onto the next steps.  His consultant helped him in many ways, for example:

1. Best time of day/night to have his affair
2. Where to go
3. How to get there
4. How to leave
5. What to bring
6. Most importantly, steps on how not to raise his wife’s suspicions

Geoff and ‘Ashley’ continued their affair through the summer and ended when she went back to college in the fall. He recalls:

“That was the best summer of my life. I was nervous at first, but my consultant was like a good friend and helped me through my fears.  My relationship with my wife actually got a little better!  That was something I wasn’t expecting, I guess, I stopped resenting her and that helped to lighten me up.  My wife never, ever, suspected a thing.  I followed my consultant’s advice to a ‘T’ and there is no way my wife will never know”.

If asked if he would ever have another affair, Geoff answered:

“I don’t know.  I really do want to work things out with my wife.  But, it feels good, you know, to know that I am attractive (to the opposite sex), and that if things get bad in my marriage again, then yeah, I probably will cheat again.”
